Looking ahead

Over the past year or so, many industry analysts and IT leaders have begun questioning whether SOA is worth the considerable investment (in time and money) that organizations are expending. In our opinion the answer is a qualified ‘Yes’. Based on our work with some of the most effective SOA practitioners, we’ve found that there’s a strong correlation among training, governance, and flourishing SOA initiatives. We’re particularly enthusiastic about our work with SOA governance; we believe that this vital issue will be the make-or-break factor that determines whether an enterprise will succeed with SOA.

On the SDLC front, we’re excited see the caliber of the open source solutions that are truly revolutionizing the process by which software gets designed, built, tested, and deployed. Going forward, we expect to see these technologies adopted across an ever-broader range of organizations.

Based on the requests we’ve gotten from our customers, we’re proud to announce the creation of two new course offerings in support of the thousands of organizations using soapUI. The first course, Agile testing with soapUI will show how to integrate your service testing with modern software development methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban. For more experienced soapUI users, the Advanced soapUI Pro class will point out even more ways to take advantage of this outstanding technology.
